When it comes to ski holiday companies with excellent reputations built up over decades you can’t beat Le Ski. They have never compromised on quality and offer real financial security, yet they have never changed ownership nor management.
Established by Nick Morgan with just a single chalet back in 1982, Le Ski has grown year-on-year to offer a fabulous portfolio of 32 catered. They’ve stuck to their winning formula of only offering catered chalets in the world’s best, most snow-sure resorts and offer flight-inclusive packages that are not cheap but provide excellent value for money and robust 100% financial protection via ATOl and ABTOT.
The Le Ski holiday experience begins with great advice from their extremely experienced team in the UK who can help guide you through every aspect of choosing your ideal chalet holiday, advising on the best choices to perfectly meet your needs and preferences.
The company operates 32 chalets of all shapes and sizes in Courchevel and neighbouring La Tania in the 3 Valleys as well as the sought after Val-d’Isère. Individual properties sleep from two to 23 guests and all offer award winning, genuinely friendly service.
In resort your chalet host will continue to help with any requirements you may have and will make your chalet a home from home for the week. A Guest Services manager is also on hand to answer any queries and make restaurant bookings on the 2 staff nights off.
Le Ski holidays include return flights from London Gatwick or Manchester to Chambery and a return transfer from the airport to your resort when using flights booked with Le Ski. It’s important to check that any chalet holiday offered by another company includes all the travel from your UK airport and back because if it doesn’t this not only means substantial additional costs but also less financial protection.
In resort you’ll enjoy chalet half board including cooked breakfast, afternoon tea and a 3-course evening meal preceded by Champagne and canapés with unlimited wine, coffee and mints on five nights a week and a cheeseboard once a week.
Le Ski is a fully bonded tour operator which means that in the extremely unlikely event that the company failed before your holiday, you’d get your money back and if you were already in the Alps you’d be brought home, not left to your own devices. But then Le Ski has managed to survive and even to prosper through multiple challenging events like Brexit and Covid for more than four decades. However, if you are considering alternative companies it’s worth ensuring they’re also officially bonded for your own financial protection.
Nick still runs Le Ski (he started young!), with his sister Liz helping run the business for almost as long as he has. That experience means a lot in a ski holiday world where it can be hard to know who you’re dealing with and just what you’re buying. Thanks to its loyal customer base, Le Ski has been able to keep increasing its standards regarding food, wine and service even after 42 seasons.
