La Plagne is one of Europe’s best resorts for families, thanks to its gentle beginner areas, family-friendly hotels and wide range of off-slope activities.
Beginner ski areas are easily accessible across the ski area, with Plagne Bellecote, Belle Plagne and Plagne Centre all offering nursery slopes around the centre of their resorts. Plagne Bellecote has the largest learners area, with plenty of amicable blue runs which gently roll into one another.
La Plagne’s CoolSki Zones are also great for improvers. These areas are specifically for those learning to ski, with free lifts, marked circuits and progressive open slopes. Coloured beginner’s bibs are available in these areas, to ensure others take more care skiing around you. Beginners lift passes are just €37 per day, or €37 if you include the bib.
Teenage skiers can explore five impressive freestyle zones across the Paradiski, along with a number of boardercross tracks, a snow park and an airbag in Belle Plagne and a mini halfpipe at Bellecôte.
For those looking to get into snow parks, Montalbert is the place to head, while off-slope adrenaline can be found at France’s only bobsleigh track, the Giant Spaghetti Bob Raft.
Off the slopes, children absolutely adore Belle Plagne’s Family SPA, a wellness experience that kids can enjoy alongside their grown-ups! With all the functions of any luxury spa, plus a 35° outdoor pool and an aqua trail amongst the snowy landscapes, this is a truly luxurious experience for adults and kids alike to enjoy. You can even get a parent-child tandem massage for a real holiday treat.
