Japan’s national tourist organisation says that the number of Brits heading to Japan grew by almost half last winter.
The exact figure recorded was a 46.4% increase in the number of overnight ski resort visitors, in comparison with 2014/15. Japan Ski Experience, a ski holiday operator specialising in Japan, believes that the season ahead is set to see further growth, as Japan Meteorological Agency forecast a 70% chance of a La Niña winter, which typically brings very heavy snowfalls to Japan.
