Hotelplan, the company which owns Inghams, one of the UK’s two biggest ski holiday tour operators, have announced they’re on the lookout for hundreds of staff to work for them in the 2015-16 ski season.
The company, which also runs chalet holiday specialist operators Esprit and Ski Total say that their jobs offer, “…a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages and develops a variety of skills, is a chance to meet like-minded people and all importantly, improve skiing or snowboarding by spending around five months living in the mountains!”
Each day is different and there are a variety of jobs for people with different skills and levels of experience. Positions are available in Austria, Andorra, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, Lapland, Italy and Canada as well as at the company’s head office in the UK. Roles include resort reps and managers, childcare professionals, catering and front of house with dozens of different types of position available from Ski Santa Breaks reps to childcare drivers, night porters and sous chefs.
Inghams describe the remuneration package as “Fantastic” and say that it includes a competitive salary, full board (or allowance if not), accommodation, full medical and liability insurance, transport to and from the UK, holiday pay, sales commission (in relevant roles), end of season bonus for those who work through to finish the season, local ski lift pass, full ski hire and boots, one full day off per week (plus time off other days), comprehensive pre-season training and up to 10% discount for family and friends holidays (terms and conditions apply).
“Working a season can be a one off opportunity such as a gap year for school leavers or university graduates or the start of a career through the management structure available overseas or in the Head Office in the UK but the adventure always starts in the mountains,” said an Inghams spokesperson.
