Established in 1959, Homewood is one of North Lake Tahoe’s larger ski areas.
From groomed boulevards to hidden powder stashes, Homewood has something for skiers and boarders of all ability levels from complete beginners to seasoned experts.
Ellis Peak shelters the entire mountain from high-ridge winds so it is almost unheard of for the ski lifts to be closed due to strong winds.
In addition to the lift-served terrain with more than 60 marked runs, Homewood is home to a famous guided snowcat operation accessing another 750 acres of terrain.
Homewood measures both a great Californian sunshine and abundant snowfall record – with an average 300 sunny days but still managing to cock up around 450 inches (over 11 metres) of snow per season
Great for freestyle skiers and boarders – there are no less than five terrain parks to choose from.
