Snowsport England’s snowsports participation campaign, GO SKI GO BOARD, is set to be extended across much of the rest of the UK.
Snowsport Cymru Wales have now committed to rolling out the programme at artificial ski slopes across Wales, and early 2016 will also see GO SKI GO BOARD being introduced to several Scottish centres, clubs and resorts, as Snowsport Scotland join the participation programme.
GO SKI GO BOARD sessions running at seven Welsh slopes can now be found on the website goskigoboard.org.uk and are run for a range of ability levels of both skiers and snowboarders. As in England, which has already seen over 128,000 people take advantage of GO SKI GO BOARD sessions since the campaign began in September 2013, the sessions will be all-inclusive and offer value for money.
The introduction of the programme to Welsh ski and snowboard centres has already been praised. Llangrannog Ski Centre enthused about the initiative, saying it is “A brilliant opportunity for people of all ages across Wales to try snowsport on home soil.”
