This is our InTheSnow Zag Ubac 2019 Ski Review from ISPO 2018, where we were very excited to catch up with the folks at Zag and learn about all their new developments for the 2018/19 winter season.

New for 2018/19, this version of the Ubac ski is made for ski touring, at 95mm underfoot. A classic touring ski, it has a lot of power underfoot and less of a rocker than the previous Ubac models, but remains easy to turn and manoeuvre.

It’s not the lightest touring ski we’ve ever felt, but with a 100% paulownia wood core as well as carbon fibre throughout, this ski has got a torsional strength and stiffness that extends all the way to the tail. This will keep you comfortable on tough ski touring terrain as well as being a lot of fun to carve on the pistes. Zag Skis hail from Chamonix, France, and bring the area’s freeride heritage to all their skis, using high quality materials and creating some great skis that are a lot of fun to ride.
