The Volkl RTM 86 2018 is a brilliant carving ski that will be a great option for advanced to expert skiers looking to really charge across the mountain this winter.

The widest of Volkl’s ‘Ride the Mountain’ collection, the RTM 86 is essentially a carving ski, but one that offers much more versatility. If you love making the most of the groomed slopes but also want a ski that will happily jump off the piste, the Volkl RTM 86 would be a great choice.

It is incredibly stable at speed, perfect for those who love going fast.

An impressive edge hold means that you are never worried about the reliability of this ski underfoot and can really enjoy flying down the piste, leaving others in your wake!

The Volkl RTM 86 is not limited to high speed carving though. It’s also super grippy at low speeds and cuts through soft snow brilliantly. The wider waist means that it feels much more at home on the powder than the other RTM options, and the 3D ridge construction allows it to easily conquer crud and tougher snow.

Volkl RTM 86 2018 Ski Review

The 3D sidewalls and Titanal layer give it an extra pop of power and aggression that will really suit those skiers who love to charge across all areas of the mountain. You can rely on the energy of this ski to keep you entertained from first lifts to last.

The Volkl RTM 86 2018 is definitely best for advanced to expert skiers, who will be able to reap the many benefits of the ski. It’s definitely up there at the higher end of the scale in terms of price, but you really can feel the benefits and we think that for this ski, the price matches the performance!
