The Volkl Flair 81 2018 is a very impressive carving ski that will let you have a lot of fun on the slopes this winter season. Excelling on the piste, it is also well designed to enable you to explore across the whole mountain.

This is first and foremost a carving ski. It makes carving turns an absolute delight and allows you to really attack the mountain with impressive turn initiation and smoothness at speed. The Flair 81 remains stable at both high and low speeds, allowing you to really get the most out of the piste. Light and responsive, it turns easily and will always keep up with you.

The widest in the Flair series with an 81mm waist, this ski also is the most at home of the bunch off the groomed runs. The Volkl Flair 81 has a strong core that is stiff enough to keep you feeling secure, but the ski remains playful enough with its tip and tail rocker to really let you have fun across the mountain. Its impressive carving performance is maintained across the mountain with power and precision.

Volkl Flair 81 2018 Ski Review

Every now and then you may feel slightly out of your depth on this ski, especially on trickier terrains where it doesn’t feel quite as stable. For this reason, it is better suited for advanced to expert skiers who are more comfortable on tougher terrains.

This ski is a really good choice for someone who loves to really make their mark on the piste, but wants a reliable ski that will be able to accompany them off the side of these runs if they should so wish!
