TomTom Sports has launched the TomTom Adventurer: a new GPS Outdoor Watch built to add data and support to multiple outdoor activities including skiing and snowboarding, but usable all year round for other activities like trail running, climbing and a multitude of others.
The TomTom Adventurer is equipped with a built-in heart rate monitor, barometer, compass and automatic lift detection for snow sports.
The automatic lift detection system means that users can see key stats after each run down an individual piste. Life stats delivered to your wrist include speed you’re skiing, altitude you’re at, the descent you’ve skied and the gradient.
For trail runners and hikers, route exploration, elevation metrics and the added security of an extended battery life* means new mountainous paths can be explored confidently.
The lightweight, well-secured and comfortable-to-wear watch also comes with GPS tracking and Route Exploration, building on TomTom’s heritage as a global leader in navigation and mapping.
“We believe anyone who loves the outdoors deserves to have access to high-end technology typically reserved for the extreme mountain man. Now, with TomTom Adventurer everyone can start tracking their activities whenever they are exploring new heights,” said Corinne Vigreux, co-founder and managing director, TomTom Consumer.
Along with tracking your outdoor activities, TomTom Adventurer also comes with 24/7 activity tracking and every run, swim, cycle or gym session can be tracked in dedicated sports modes. You can track your pulse using the built-in heart rate monitor, while the integrated music player can hook up to your headphones.
It even tells the time. TomTom Adventurer costs £269.99.
