Sweet Protection Switcher Helmet Review from ISPO 2018 where we were very keen to check out their new range for 2018/19.
We love Sweet Protection helmets and the Switcher helmet looks to be no exception. Winner of an ISPO Award for 2018, this versatile all-mountain helmet has a unique construction called “Advanced Hybrid Construction”. It’s a unique combination of in-mold and hard shell, which offers the best combination of rigidity and elasticity according to the biometrics of the head. Furthermore, the Switcher helmet has a revolutionary ventilation concept where one turn dial can operate and finely tune 20 vents. This innovative ventilation system allows a range of ventilation through the helmet and is really simple to use, which will come in handy on the slopes. It’s equipped with STACC vent and goggle vents which will also help to prevent your goggles from steaming up.
The Sweet Protection Switcher Helmet also boasts an audio system and a neat magnetic clasp makes it really easy to use and adjust under your chin. Sweet Protection make some really high quality, safe helmets that we would recommend on the slopes and this is definitely one we will be looking to try. There are two models – one comes complete with a MIPS System, which mimics the movement of the brain inside the head to provide added protection for the brain. The other does not hold this system.
