Time was that the biggest cost worry on a ski trip was the price of a lift pass, but these days the cost of taking your gear can be prohibitive, especially if you have a ski or board as well as a case.

One solution is to maximise your free baggage allowance, wither skilfully getting all you need in hand baggage (Which does take some creative planning, maybe wearing your ski helmet in transit…), or rather than a case and a ski bag, hand baggage and a ski bag, so you only pay once.

Eastpak have a large range of bags that maximise every cm of your hand baggage limit but are also tough, durable and easy to handle, even when you’re juggling skis or a snowboard in your other hand.

The Tranverz bag (£95) has a smooth wheeling system, easy access telescopic handle, stands up straight, has lockable zippers and many other features including a double deck compartment with zippered closure.

The Strapverz (£120) is exactly the same spec as the Tranverz, but has tucked away straps to use it as a backpack if needed – handy on rough terrain in resort.

Eastpak’s huge range, in a wide range of styles and colour patterns, is available in Surfdome, Urban Industries and on Eastpak.com

Although the bags are designed to fit most airlines hand baggage size requirements, these are ever changing and its always best to check with your airline company that this carry-on size fits within their current requirements.
