Manchester-based ski gear manufacturer Planks Clothing, has teamed up with Rainkiss, to create limited-edition unisex ponchos and bucket hats using recycled materials. Handy to have to hand in the mountains and back home too.
For a bit of added novelty, the ponchos carry a QR code on the cuff which provides a weather update and fresh new collab playlist from Planks & Rainkiss when scanned.
“This gear won’t just make you look sick, it’ll provide the beats as you stomp through puddles or fly down mountains,” a Planks spokesperson said, adding, “Whether you’re hopping between bars in the city or heading to a wet après, this gear will keep you dry and looking fresh.”
Made from 100% certified recycled polyester and weighing a grand total of 250 grams, the poncho is easy to fold and store, perfect for squeezing in your suitcase or backpack.
The matching recycled Bucket Hat is available in two sizes. It has taped seams, a 100% waterproof bucket design and has you covered, from the light snow of the Alps to the rainy streets of Blighty.
“We’re stoked to finally release this awesome line for our community with our friends at Rainkiss. As a brand rooted in Manchester, we see about 40 inches of rain each year, so we feel that Rainkiss is the perfect partner to embrace our love of the outdoors and celebrate taking it outside whatever the weather,” commented, Jim Adlington, Founder of Planks Clothing, comments:
The Planks on Rainkiss poncho is available to purchase from planksclothing.com for £69, whilst the bucket hat can be yours for £37.
