With James Bond fever sweeping the world, it’s a neat coincidence that Helly Hansen’s new luxury ski collection – EQ Red – for winter 2015 takes 007 as one of its inspirations.
The company’s new top-of-the-range Pete Jacket (SRP £550) has a progressive cut and offers a debonair Scandinavian design that reflects the daring, sophisticated lifestyles of the 1960s and takes you straight back to the Bond-on-snow look of On His Majesty’s secret service in 1969, a look emulated by Daniel Craig’s Bond in the new SPECTRE movie where the on-snow scenes were filmed at Solden in Austria. The Pete jacket has a vintage style that incorporates all the right ski features
“EQ Red is geared towards Helly Hansen’s most style-driven consumers with technical features, purposeful silhouettes and fashion-forward colour palettes, to reflect an active lifestyle,” say the company.
The high-performance jacket has a Helly Tech® Professional waterproof and breathable primary fabric, waterproof zippers, and PrimaLoft® Gold Down blend insulation in the body.
The jacket is waterproof, windproof and has a breathable 2-ply fabric construction to professional standards and incorporates an innovative H2Flow™ temperature regulation system to ensure all-day comfort in fluctuating weather conditions.
It features the RECCO® Advanced Rescue System, a snap-away stretch powder skirt, detachable helmet-compatible and adjustable hood and internal goggle and electronics pockets.
