A versatile, popular ski that has had some very effective updates this season, the Nordica Santa Ana 93 will remain a big hit on the slopes this winter.

The Nordica Santa Ana 93 is a playful and grippy ski, which makes life both off and on piste a lot of fun. With a 93mm waist, it is quite a wide ski under foot, giving it great float in the powder. The Energy 2 Titanium Balsa construction keeps the ski lightweight, while ensuring it has enough power to charge through crud while maintaining buoyancy across softer snow. The Santa Ana 93 also does very well across bumps. Despite its 93mm waist, it feels surprisingly agile and lively, responding well to commands.

Similarly, the Santa Ana 93 performs well on piste. It is extremely smooth into the turn making it easy to manoeuvre and a lot of fun when the path ahead is clean and clear. However, we did find this was a little stiff which made the edge slip out in the turn every now and then.

Nordica Santa Ana 93 2018 Ski Review

We did really enjoy this ski, it was extremely consistent, very reliable and never left us feeling out of our comfort zone. However, it didn’t have that extra something that some other skis we tested offered. There’s not one defining positive of this ski, it’s simply all pretty good. If you’re looking for a ski that will take you wherever you want to go while really shining on the piste or on the powder, you might be best to keep browsing.

The Nordica Santa Ana 93 2018 is a reliable, tried and tested, powerful ski that is good in all areas. It’s also very reasonably priced; for a confident, advanced skier looking for a first buy, the Santa Ana 93 is a great choice.
