This is our Nordica Astral 84 2019 Ski Review from the SIGB Ski Test in Galtür, Austria.
The women’s version of the Nordica Navigator 85 is a good ski for an intermediate level skier wanting a dependable ski that will allow them to enjoy the slopes from first lifts to last. This is a ski that thrives on moderate speeds. It’s not the ski for an expert skier looking for speed, but it’s definitely a great choice for intermediate women who like to cruise down the slopes, feeling comfortable and supported underfoot.
It performs really nicely in both long and short radius turns, giving you a good base on which to develop your technique. Smooth across even choppy terrain, this stability is really confidence-enhancing and you will be in good hands to try some off piste or more tricky terrain. It’s impressively versatile, so you will be able to work on your skills off the beaten track safe in the knowledge that this ski can handle it.
