Mammut’s new Aconcagua Pro ML Hooded Jacket is a superb new mid-layer that ticks all the boxes for light-weight warmth and protection from the elements when you’re out on the slopes.
This technical, very robust and abrasion resistant jacket weighs in at just 410g and maps your body shape perfectly including a ‘wetsuit style’ hood that fits as snugly as a balaclava with the option to zip it up right over your mouth.
The jacket features a combination of two different functional materials, Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro which delivers optimum freedom of movement, and Pontetorto® Technostretch which is a thin and elastic fabric, used on the back, underarms, hood and hip area to avoid creating bulk under a climbing harness, or in the pants, and overheating.
It has a waffle fabric design in the backing to retain heat and is fast-drying outside whilst soft and warm inside. There’s a thumb loop made for comfort and durability and flatlock, non-protruding seams.
