The Line Honey Bee 2018 is a true freestyle park ski that is a great choice for any women wanting a versatile ski on which to build their skills in the park.
It’s soft flex makes the ski a lot of fun and very easy to turn. This turn initiation comes in very handy both in the park and outside it, where the responsiveness allows you to feel comfortable flying through trees and bumps as well as charging across the pistes.
While an all mountain option, the Line Honey Bee is mostly focused toward performance in the park, with just enough versatility to perform well across the rest of the mountain. The Honey Bee is very poppy and playful, with enough durability to allow you to test out your freestyle skills without worrying about damage to your precious new skis! The twin tips simply add to the fun and the ski offers enough stability to keep you confident in your landings.
Off-piste, on powder and through crud this ski doesn’t perform as well as others in this category. It’s lightweight feel doesn’t give it much power to cut through tough conditions, occasionally leaving you feeling slightly out of your depth away from the groomed runs.
The edge hold on this ski is also not the best compared to the other all mountain options we have tested this year, but it does the job on piste.
This ski would suit a lighter skier as it washes out if you put too much pressure through it.
A more aggressive skier may want a ski that’s slightly more rigid and can give them more power to really conquer the whole mountain.
Sitting at the lower end of the price bracket for this season, this ski offers great value for money. The Line Honey Bee 2018 is a good choice an advanced skier wanting a playful, lively ski that can take you anywhere on the mountain as well as really allowing you to develop your skills in the park.
