Our K2 Women’s Skis 2018/19 Review comes from the SIGB Ski Test in Galtür, Austria, where we had a peek at K2’s new range of all mountain women’s skis for next season.
From the First Luv and Sweet Luv through to Endless Luv and Tough Luv, the range increases in stiffness as you progress through the ski models. As you may have guessed, Tough Luv is at the stiffer, more high performance end, while First and Sweet Luv are the softer, more forgiving and more accessible in the range.
As the skis get stiffer, the waist widths get a little wider too, meaning those at the higher end have that slight added versatility that comes with a wider waist. While they are all fantastic on piste, the wider waist gives these skis a slight edge when it comes to off piste and variable terrain.
For anyone who really likes to charge hard and harness power on the mountain, K2 also have the Luv Machine skis. The Luv Machine 72 Ti is constructed with added Titanium sheets, while the Luv Machine 74 sits within the high performance range as well as within the regular piste performance range, a good option for someone who enjoys the piste but wants something that can really charge if they want it to.
What’s more, we really enjoy the graphics on these skis. They’re smart and stylish and maintain consistency across the range, which we think is a great trait. Furthermore, you can tell that K2 have paid attention to ensuring the bindings merge well with the design of these skis, a definite benefit for ladies who like a seamless, stylish look underfoot.
The K2 women’s skis 2018/19 will keep you feeling good, looking good and most importantly, having a good time. There’s so much versatility that skiers of all abilities will be able to find something for them in this range.
