This is our InTheSnow K2 Pinnacle 95 Ti 2019 Ski Review from the slopes of Galtür, Austria. A fun, freeride ski from K2, the Pinnacle 95 Ti is definitely one to consider for advanced to expert skiers looking to really dominate the whole mountain next season.
With a 95mm waist and plenty of rocker, the Pinnacle 95 Ti is a very versatile ski. On piste, it’s got good grip and transfers quickly and responsively from edge to edge. However, where the Pinnacle really thrives is off piste. The all terrain rocker provides nice, easy turn initiation and gives the ski a lovely, surf-like float in soft snow.
With the addition of Titanium, this ski has that little extra oomph and power that will be very well received if you’re a more aggressive skier. But this does not mean it’s too stiff or forceful – the K2 Pinnacle 95 Ti 2019 is actually surprisingly flexible with a nice soft tip that makes it easily manoeuvrable and responsive through powder and more bumpy snow.
If you’re used to skiing on a dedicated piste ski, the Pinnacle 95 Ti as an all mountain ski is going to feel quite different and may take some getting used to. However, as freeride skis go, it’s very easy to use and confidence-building across terrains.
If you’re wanting a ski on which to explore the backcountry, perhaps head heli-skiing or really make the most of that famous powder across the pond, the K2 Pinnacle 95 Ti wouldn’t be a bad choice.
