K2 Luv Sick 80 Ti 2018 Ski Review

The K2 Luv Sick 80 Ti 2018 is a strong, energetic ski that will be best suited to the more aggressive advanced skier that wants to power down the pistes this winter season.

The energy of this ski means that it much prefers getting stuck into the shorter, snappier turns rather than the longer ones. The edge hold is good, keeping you feeling confident and well grounded on the piste. You can also really push this ski thanks to the reliable Hybritech Sidewall that keeps your edges solid.

A slight tip rise and all terrain rocker means that the K2 Luv Sick 80 Ti remains versatile, despite being a piste ski. It is perfectly happy to tackle any terrain you might find off the sides of the piste, however it would definitely be out of its depth were you to take it into the backcountry or out on a powder day.

A female-focused Bioflex Core is designed for optimum maneuverabilty as well as a light weight underfoot.

A metal laminate adds an extra punch of solidity and power that the more aggressive skier will definitely benefit from. Together, this creates a great ski for a woman who wants to really drive her turns on the piste.

K2 Luv Sick 80 Ti 2018 Ski Review

However, while the power is a draw for some skiers, we found the K2 Luv Sick 80 Ti put us in the back seat which made it difficult to turn and created unwanted tip chatter. In general, while this ski was perfectly adequate as a resort ski, there was no spark to it. We were slightly underwhelmed by the Luv Sick 80 Ti, especially because we were so impressed by K2’s other offerings for this season. If you’re looking for a really special ski, we’d suggest you take a look at our other reviews before you make your final decision.
