Our K2 Empress 2019 Ski Review comes from the SIGB Ski Test in Galtür, Austria, where we had the opportunity to try out K2’s new offerings for the 2018/19 season.
With a playful twin tip shape, this ski will bring adventurous, freestyle-loving ladies a lot of fun within the park and way beyond.
However, don’t feel that you have to be a freestyle expert to enjoy the K2 Empress 2019. It’s got a nice forgiving nature that makes it a really accessible ski for anyone looking to get into park and pipe skiing and build their confidence when it comes to freestyle.
The Empress has a lovely fluid nature with a cap construction that makes it lightweight and forgiving. However, it is able to stiffen up when you need it, allowing you to unleash an impressive power and pop.
We really enjoyed this ski, it’s got a lot of personality – poppy, energetic and versatile, with a tip and tail rocker making off piste as much fun as on piste.
While anyone can enjoy the K2 Empress, advanced skiers will probably be able to get the most out of it. Plus, at a very decent price point, it offers excellent value for money, making it a great choice for someone looking for a more adventurous, freestyle focused ski to add to their arsenal.
