Our Head V-Shape V8 2019 Ski Review comes from the slopes of Galtür, Austria. A new range for the coming season, the Head V-Shape are an all mountain series, brought in to replace the Instinct range from last season.
The V8 is the fourth in the series, which consists of the V2, V4, V6, V8 and V10. As the numbers rise, as does the waist width and the price bracket. The V8 is at the higher end of the range, meaning that it benefits from increased technology and high performance.
Incredibly stable underfoot, this ski contains the latest tech that keeps it really smooth over all terrain. It’s a lot more dynamic and energetic than the lower skis in the range, which makes it a better choice for intermediate to advanced skiers as opposed to entry level, who may prefer the V4. Or, if you’re a bit heavier or prefer a bit more power underfoot, you might be better with the V10, which just has that little bit extra oomph.
A light, versatile ski, you can take it pretty much anywhere across the mountain, which makes it a good option for someone looking for one ski to explore varying terrains and through all conditions.
