These are our Head Kore 99 2019 Ski Review videos for the 2018/19 season, tested at the SIGB Ski Test in Galtür, Austria.
The Head Kore range has caused quite a stir over the 2017/18 season – everyone loves this ski, with demand so high, that Head have released a new model, the Head Kore 99. It fits nicely into the current range, which so far consists of 93, 105 and 117 underfoot and Head have also added a junior model to allow younger skiers to experience this ski, at 87 underfoot.
We really really enjoyed this ski. Like the rest of the Kore range it’s a lot of fun, but we found that the 99 in particular brought a new level of versatility.
With a polyester fleece instead of a standard top-sheet, the Head Kore range are incredibly light compared to other skis. The Head Kore 99 in particular is a very strong ski, it holds an edge great on hard snow and releases its energy in a high-performing way. The 99mm waist enhances flotation in soft snow and maximizes manoeuvrability, which gives it that little bit extra versatility and ensures powder days will be hugely enjoyable.
A fusion of a freeride and all mountain ski, the Kore 99 2019 is a great choice for advanced and adventurous skiers.
