A new model for the 2017/18 season, the Head Epic Joy will be a definite hit thanks to a lightweight yet powerful design that gives a fantastic performance on piste.

If you love short turns and you want a ski that gives you precision and grip on hard pack and stability at speed, you have just found it. For those that prefer longer turns, the Head Epic Joy also loves to carve, with an edge hold that is brilliant regardless of speed and a blessing in tougher conditions.

Constructed using Graphene, which Head describes as ‘the lightest, thinnest and strongest material in the world’, the Epic Joy is almost unbelievably lightweight. However, this does not stop it from unleashing an impressive amount of power when it gets onto those groomed runs.

This is a very energetic, exciting ski that really wants to get going, so you do have to make sure you keep on top of it. If you can reign it in and control that energy, the Head Epic Joy makes for a very fun companion that will power down the pistes. Charge on this and you will definitely be rewarded with an impressive performance and an exhilarating ride.

With a very slim 68mm waist, this is not a ski that you would want to take off piste on a powder day, but it is more than adequate to allow you to enjoy the less challenging snow and bumps you might find just off the edge of the piste.

Consistent in its brilliance throughout our testing, we are sure the Head Epic Joy is going to be a familiar sight on the slopes this winter. It’s a fantastic ski for an advanced skier who likes to really conquer the pistes with speed, power and precision.
