The Forcefield Slam 1 Short is a new lighter weight short, with revised ergonomic design armour shapes. Our new Isolator armour technology has enabled us to introduce new armour shapes on the hips and buttocks, and cut the thickness down from the previous 17mm foams to a remarkable 8mm, whilst still offering the same CE level 1 certification.

The Forcefield Slam 1 Short has been designed specifically for snowboarders and skaters to protect the lower back, buttocks, coccyx and hips, whilst being as comfortable as possible.
The high energy absorbing, super low profile Isolator CE approved layer armour is fitted into a pocket in the rear of the shorts and pockets at the hips, allowing it to be removed so the shorts can be machine washed for maximum hygiene.
Slam Short 1 is a next-to-skin, technical base layer, constructed using BeCool™ fibre which has a greater diffusive area than standard man-made or cotton fibres, allowing high levels of breathability, wicking and fast drying. It is also being anti-bacterial for freshness, even after multiple days on the slopes. During exercise, the unique shape of the BeCool™ fibre means it acts like a fan extracting hot and wet air away from the body and replacing it with cool and fresh air to help maintain core body temperatures in both cold and hot conditions.
Fastened at the waist by a draw cord and with gripper elastic at the legs, the shorts offer a comfortable and practical alternative to wearing separate base layers and armour.
All armour has Forcefield DRI-M technology (Dynamic, Reactive, Intelligent Material) fitted throughout.
