The Fischer My Mtn 80 2018 is a stiff all mountain ski that is designed for an aggressive female skier who puts a lot of power through the ski. If you can put enough in, you get a lot out from this ski.
The Fischer My Mtn 80 is a strong, energetic ski that is highly versatile. It does enjoy charging across all areas of the mountain, giving high levels of stability and control through various terrains. Rockered tips allow it excellent floatation across powder, while it also excels with precise turns on piste.
However, you do need to be a fit, active person to get the most out of this ski as it would be quite tiring for a whole day.
If you aren’t able to put the power through this ski it washes out underfoot when turning. This in turn can make it slightly more difficult to control so creates something of a vicious cycle in terms of power. You really need to give this ski enough power to get the most back out of it, but if you do, you do get a lot of strength and energy in return.
If you want an aggressive, powerful ski to really charge around the mountain on, the Fischer My Mtn 80 is a great choice. However, if you are after a highly versatile, more gentle ski, there may be better options out there for the price.
