The weather is very changeable in the mountains, and whether it’s sunny or cloudy, you need a good pair of goggles. When it’s sunny the brightness is magnified by your altitude, so let alone the physical brightness, the Ultra Violet (UV) light is dangerous. And when it’s cloudy it can be cold, and so when you pick up any speed skiing, your eyes can quickly start to freeze.
Useful Ski Goggle Maintenance Guide
When using your ski goggles, only clean the lenses when they are dry and only use the pouch the goggles came with. This fabric is designed to clean the lens without scratching or scraping it. All other materials like your sleeve or a tissue can be abrasive even if it doesn’t feel like it and can therefore scratch the lens.
Never put your goggles down on the lenses as it will scratch them and if you get snow inside, allow the goggle dry out before cleaning them inside.
