The new Storen Lady ski trousers (RRP £295) are a superb new ultra-lightweight (610g in L) layer shell pants made from Dermizax®NX 2-way stretch material for maximum weather protection, outstanding breathability and maximum freedom of movement.
Storen is part of Bergans’ Slingsby range, which is especially designed for ski touring and mountaineering and offer superior functionality at a low weight whilst also offering premium durability. In short they are designed to provide exactly what’s needed with nothing surplus to requirements
Available in sizes XS to XXL and a choice of three colours: Army Green/ Koi Orange, Black or Deep Sea/ Lime they feature a ventilation zip from the waist down (so can also function as a drop seat) and pack very small for easy carriage.
Pockets are a key feature as the ski trousers feature a thigh pocket, with extra transmitter/receiver (avalanche beacon) compatible inner pocket.
The pocket is positioned as far down the thigh as possible without obstructing movement and to prevent interference between a transmitter/receiver. There’s a small loop inside the pocket to retain a transmitter/receiver.
In addition the trousers feature detachable, adjustable suspenders. Pant legs cropped at the front for enhanced fit with boots. Velcro-adjustable waist (extra width for optimum ventilation in high activity). There are also articulated knee sections and reinforced sections at the bottom of the leg.
Finally there are fixed internal gaiters with stretch mesh for enhanced freedom of movement.
These have internal friction elastic and an adjustable Velcro opening for variable boot widths. There are also loops for attaching gaiter bands (sold separately) and buttonholes for the option to insert elastic at bottom leg.
