This is the Atomic Bent Chetler 100 2019 Ski Review from InTheSnow at the 2018 SIGB Ski Test in Austria. New for next season, the Atomic Bent Chetler 100 brings a slimmer waist width to the hugely popular Bent Chetler series.
In the Bent Chetler 100, Atomic have created an all mountain powerhouse, harnessing the elements that made the Bent Chetler a popular choice for adventurous freeride skiers and giving them a more versatile, accessible edge.
The traditional Atomic Backland Bent Chetler has always been a big, backcountry, freeride ski, with a waist size to match. This means that it hasn’t always been the most accessible ski across the market to more recreational skiers. So, what Atomic have done with the Bent Chetler 100 is bring this hugely popular ski into the more traditional marketplace, meaning more of us will be able to enjoy it.
A very very versatile ski, the Bent Chetler 100 has been very well received by testers so far and we can’t help but agree. It’s a ski that puts a smile on your face within minutes and keeps it there until those last lifts have been and gone.
The Atomic Bent Chetler 100 2019 also comes with the Atomic Shift binding, which gives exceptional alpine performance, but also allows you the option of switching to touring mode if you have a pin boot and fancy some of that backcountry the Bent Chetler is so famous for. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this binding is weaker than the traditional alpine binding though. With a 13 DIN release, you can feel secure charging down the mountain to your heart’s content.
