RevolutionRace is a newer name in the outdoor apparel market that, from the quality and affordability of their clothing, are set to become an ever-bigger name.

Established by snowboarding Swedes Pernilla and Niclas Nyrensten 10 years ago, the company has gleaned a remarkable average 4.6 out of /5 rating from more than 680 000+ reviews. So what are they doing right?

“We realised the outdoor industry had a problem. We’d often felt the same way while backpacking and travelling around the world. Not only were the established outdoor brands too expensive, but their trousers fit poorly and seemed to be designed for men only. And the colours? Fifty shades of boooring. The market was missing a brand that made fun, high-quality clothes at a reasonable price, and we kept thinking that somebody should do something about it,” explained Pernilla and Niclas.

This winter RevolutionRace has launched a new skiwear range.

We tested out the Atlas 3L Ski Jacket Men, an alpine shell jacket, and found it performed up there with premium brands with premium price tags we’ve also tested.

When we paired it with fleece layering below, we found it provided great breathability and ventilation even when we were working to the max, keeping us warm and dry too. Designed with versatile layering in mind, it can accommodate warm insulating layers underneath without compromising on fit.

The Atlas 3-layer ski jacket forms the outer, weatherproof shield of your layering system and is made from recycled materials and equipped with a waterproof and windproof Hypershell® Pro membrane.

It also features fully taped seams, water-repellent zips, and a DWR treatment for added protection against the elements.

As an additional safety measure, the integrated Recco® reflector makes you searchable to rescue teams in case you get lost or injured out of bounds.

Other handy features include a powder skirt, ski pass pocket, and helmet-compatible hood.
