An incredibly fun and playful ski which prefers softer snow but can still hold an edge, the Armada Invictus 95 2018 is a fantastic all mountain choice this season.
Armada’s 2018 all mountain offerings have generally been exceptionally lively and the Invictus 95 is no exception. This ski was incredibly popular during our testing and definitely made an impression with its fun, adventurous, nature.
The Invictus 95 can handle short, snappy turns extremely well, making it incredibly easy to control over bumps and through tree runs and proving it a worthwhile companion to those who like to leave the protection of the piste.
Indeed, the more lightweight offering of the Invictus range (the Invictus Ti options are infused with titanal metal), where this ski really comes into its own is on the powder. A combination of the waist size and rockered tip enable it to glide across the soft stuff effortlessly.
The Invictus 95 is surprisingly easy to manoeuvre in the deeper snow and allows you to really enjoy the ride.
However, this is still an incredibly fun ski to carve with and its piste performance is highly enjoyable, with good edge hold and control. For an intermediate skier wanting to develop your off piste technique without sacrificing your performance on piste, the Armada Invictus 95 is a very good choice.
Technically, this ski combines all the elements that make Armada skis so enjoyable. As always, the control and stability of Armada’s power-lite core works a charm, ensuring the security of a smooth ride. This means you can relax and enjoy the ski to its utmost, no matter the terrain.
Using Armada’s fastest base, the comp series, this ski can be speedy, although at higher speeds you may notice a little bit of tip chatter. However, stability is assured with the Carbon-Kevlar Struts in the tip and tail, keeping it strong through any crud and maintaining durability of the ski.
The Armada Invictus 95 is a fantastic intermediate ski. It is hugely enjoyable to ride and at £420 it won’t break the bank either, which is always a bonus.
