Our Armada ARW 2019 Ski Review comes from the SIGB Ski Test in Galtür, Austria. While it has always been a popular ski, the Armada ARW has had a complete overhaul for 2019 and we absolutely love the end result.

A new design, created in a different factory to the previous ARW models, the differences are clear. However, Armada have kept to the formula that made the ARW so popular in previous years, retaining that distinctive poppy, playful nature that, combined with great stability, keeps you feel confident wherever you are on the mountain.

With an all new ash and poplar wood core, the ski retains its lightweight feel, but with an added energy that will be well received everywhere on the mountain.

Equally as happy lapping the park as shredding fresh powder, the ARW is impressively versatile and won’t leave you feeling lacking in confidence off piste or through choppy terrain. On piste, it holds an edge very, very well and really springs you out of each turn and into the next. It’s the perfect combination of lively, stable and responsive, really boosting your confidence.

This makes the ARW ideal for anyone that may be wanting to make their first forays into the park, but also wants a ski that performs well both on and off piste. However, you don’t have to be a park and pipe fanatic to enjoy this ski. The fun it allows you to have anywhere on the mountain makes it a great pick for

While it’s not a particularly tough, hard-charging option, we would recommend the ARW to upper intermediate to expert skiers in order to really make the most of it. It’s pretty dynamic and if you can control its power, it will give you a lot of fun on the slopes. It’s a great looking, great feeling ski and we’re sure it will be a hugely popular choice for adventurous female skiers this winter.
