A smooth cruisey ski with easy turn initiation and good stability underfoot, the Armada ARV 96 is brilliant choice of ski for anyone looking for one ski to cover their all mountain requirements this season.
With impressive scores across the board from our testing, the Armada ARV 96 2018 is versatile and adventurous, allowing you to enjoy yourself to the max across a variety of terrains.
When on the edge, the Armada ARV 96 is surprisingly good, feeling really solid in the longer turns. It is the ideal cruising ski that loves longer and more chilled out turns. However, this ski is certainly not limited by cruise control and will also get you out of a tight spot with some shorter turns too.
The ARV 96 is designed for the adventurous skier, so while being brilliantly smooth in the longer turns, it’s pop-lite core offers additional energy and power for the shorter turns.
This is certainly a ski that likes to jump and not be skied too seriously.
The ski is hugely lively and enjoyable over bumps and off piste, and easily adapted to the varying terrains and conditions throughout our test.
While the Armada ARV 96 is slightly wider than the average park ski, this is barely noticeable once you get it going. The low swing weight Spin Tips allows increased agility and movement in the air and the 2.5mm Impact Edge is specially heat treated to ensure durability and resist impact damage (rails and boxes we’re looking at you).
The AR Freestyle rocker enhances the playful nature of the ski and the waist size, though above average for a park ski, makes the ARV 96 beautifully smooth and stable on the powder.
Available in a wide variety of lengths and priced very reasonably at £420, the Armada ARV 96 is the perfect ski for someone looking to have a lot of fun across the whole mountain this season.
