Famous Swiss ski resort Verbier and famous English football club Liverpool Football Club have announced a gala evening will be staged on April 16th to celebrate the partnership between resort and club which goes back to 2018.
Three legends of the club: Vladimír Šmicer, Jason McAteer and Luis García will be in attendance at the event where 100 seats are on sale to all, priced at 130 Swiss Francs (about £110) for adults, 90 (£75) for children.
“Reds fans, this evening is not to be missed!” the resort says.
The celebrations will kick off at 6pm with aperitifs at the Médran Café, concert with Faye and the chance for photos with the club’s legends.
At 8pm things move on to the W Hotel Verbier with a welcome from resort managers and a quiz.
The first course of bluefin tuna with mango salad will be served at 8.30pm (vegetarian and other special dietary requests can be catered for on request).
At 9pm there’ll be a presentation of archives from Liverpool FC as well as the local Sion football club.
The main course of fillet of beef with a potato and parsnip terrine shallot puree and sautéed spinach will be served at 9.15, again with alternatives available where requested in advance.
At 9:45 it’s the prize-giving ceremony for the quiz winners presented by Liverpool legends.
Dessert at 10pm will include white chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet and crumble.
At 10.30pm there’ll be a questions and answer session with Vladimír Šmicer, Jason McAteer and Luis García then at 10.45pm another concert with Faye, the evening winding up at midnight.
Quiz winners on each table will each receive a signed LFC ball or shirt. There will also be a prize draws with the prize of two seats at the last match of the season (May 22) at Anfield.
