The Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa, Switzerland has just opened a new restaurant below-stairs with some exciting menu options including the all new Swiss Fondue Burger.
The Basement, offering a range of innovative dishes, shared tables and fuss-free hospitality. The menu has been created by award-winning chef Tobias Jochim and features high quality locally sourced Swiss ingredients.
Besides the novelty burger served with a glass of Swiss kirsch you can also try fish and chips with perch fillets from Lake Constance and cheesecake made with local Arosa cheese. There is also a “Slow Corner” with a selection of perfectly grilled steaks.
“The Basement marks another step towards the future and is integral to the culture of innovation that we have been fostering for some years now,” says Leo Maissen, Director of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel.
That culture of innovation has led to The Tschuggen Grand Hotel becoming, arguably, the world’s coolest ski hotel. It features a spectacular spa with iconic ‘sails’ above that bring light down to it and guests are whisked from ski room to slopes via a remarkable private funicular lift.
