The Snowkite Masters spectacular comes to Serre Chevalier in France from January 8th to 16th. The annual event for local and international Snowkiters is guaranteed to thrill serious skiers and snowboarders alike.
You can achieve the same adrenalin rush as the top snowkiters in France – who train in Serre Chevalier at the Col du Lautaret by joining the snowkiting school for beginners and experienced ‘kiters’ and let kite power glide you over snow and ice. Learn handling skills and get ready for long excursions through the wooded mountains which are guaranteed to take your breath away. Kites, harnesses, helmets and radios are all provided.
Serre Chevalier is the collective name for 13 villages stretching 15km along the Guisane Valley to Briançon, France’s highest Alpine town, with the main ski stations at Briançon, Chantemerle, Villeneuve and Monêtier.
Over 250km of snow-sure, larch-lined slopes – most over 2000m – are perfect for skiers and boarders on this big, varied mountain which offers skiing for all abilities.
New this season is a six-seater chairlift which runs between Villeneuve and Monêtier and increased snowmaking facilities in Chantemerle.
