Europe’s highest ‘escape room’ will be established, temporarily, in a cable car hanging more than 3,000 metres above sea level from the end of March.
Val Thorens in France, Europe’s highest major ski resort, will create their escape room within a cabin of their Caron cable car, suspended high above the resort, at the end of the ski day.
The escape room concept has stormed the world over the past few years, with participants ‘locked’ in rooms and having to work out their escape by solving clues, usually with a room operator guide connected by computer screen or intercom from outside the room, offering help if needed.
The “Escape Game Caron” will run from March 27th, with several sessions per week running until ending on May 8th when Val Thorens’ ski season ends. Participation is free with up to five people taking part in each session, but anyone wanting to try it needs to register with the tourist office in advance. After the session participants will return to the resort in a snowcat.
