Engelberg has had the world’s deepest snowbase for most of the 2017-18 ski season.
Mt Baker in Washington State, USA, briefly pulled ahead last week but has now dropped back and Engelberg is the only ski area posting a 7m+ base (710cm – nearly 24 feet).
The deepest snow is up on its Titlis glacier where the ski and board season should continue through May.
It’s been largely sunny the past week but 10cm of snow is expected around the middle of this coming week.
