The UK’s largest ski operator, Crystal Ski Holidays, has announced an improved snow guarantee for skiers and boarders who are unlucky enough to find that when their holiday arrives there’s not much snow on the ground.
The new Crystal Snow Promise policy now allows all customers who book their ski holiday before 30 November 2023, to change their holiday before they travel fee-free if less than 10% of runs are open in the ski area they’re travelling to. If there is lack of snow or no snow in the four days before customers are due to travel, they will be able to change to an alternative Crystal package. This benefit is available on any Crystal package holidays departing between December 2023 and April 2024.
“We always want to make sure our customers feel reassured when booking and travelling with us. We’ve reviewed and listened to our customers’ feedback, and we know that flexibility and choice is key to them, especially when it comes to their much-anticipated ski holiday,” said Crystal’s Managing Director, Chris Logan, who added, “We look after every element of our customers’ ski holidays, and we wanted to make sure that our Snow Promise is there to support skiers and snowboarders on the rare occasion that the snow doesn’t show.”
To give further peace of mind, there’s also an option for skiers and snowboarders to upgrade to the ‘Crystal Snow Promise Extra’ for £25 per person. This policy provides more scope and flexibility with fee-free changes possible if less than 50% of runs are open in the ski area customers are travelling to.
Crystal Ski Holiday’s existing policy for customers in resort also continues to stand. It is that if less than 10% of runs are open in the ski area due to a lack of snow or no snow, Crystal will look to arrange up to three days of skiing in an open resort within a two-hour drive from the resort they’re staying in. Local transport and new lift passes will be provided, so all skiers need to worry about is hopping on the coach to get them there.
The new Crystal Snow Promise will be applied retrospectively for all customers who have booked so far and automatically included in all package holidays booked on or before 30 November 2023 for holidays departing between December 2023 and April 2024. All customers will be given the option to upgrade to the Crystal Snow Promise Extra on holidays booked by 30 November 2023.
