For many skiers, après-ski is an important part of the ski holiday experience and in Crans-Montana you can find any type of après-ski you are looking for. These are our favourite spots for a post-ski drink or two:
Located at the top of the gondola (2,220m above sea level!), this lively spot includes a restaurant, bar and club, all of which offer skiers an unparalleled 360 degree view across the Pennine Alps. In terms of the après scene, live DJ’s play here each day from 3pm up until the pistes close. Plus, some evenings even see the gondolas opened up after hours for special events organised at the Cry d’Er after the mountain closes.
Zerodix at Crans-Cry d’Er $$
The perfect location for the classic après drink with your ski boots on, with regular live DJs, a great atmosphere and friendly staff. As it is also a restaurant, you can also order from an impressive list of snacks if you get a little peckish!
La Petite Maison $$
A bustling spot where you can taste local wines and sample delicious snacks until 2am. La Petite Maison is beautifully decorated with old wood and comfortable low seats and high tables close to the bar. A convenient location at the top of the pedestrian street in Montana means you can’t miss this one on your way off the mountain.
1900 $$
A more bistro kind of bar with many tables, serving a fantastic selection of wines as well as hot drinks.
Le Tirebouchon $$
Here you can taste a huge range of local wines, as Le Tirebouchon offers over 90 different bottles of wine from all across the Valais region to buy or drink. There’s a large choice of wines by the glass too, as well as assortments of cold cut and carpaccio with cheese to go alongside. This spot enjoys a great location the middle of the pedestrian street (rue de la gare) and is open until 8pm
