Switzerland’s Saas-Fee will stage too commemorative guided walks this month in celebration of Wham!’s eternal Xmas hit, Last Christmas, the video for which was filmed in the resort.
Cable car shots were taken at the Felskinn-Bahn lifts whilst interior shots were taken in the Chalet Tita in the Wildi part of the village. Chalet Schliechte, also in the Wildi, was used for the exterior shots. George Michael, Andrew Ridgeley and the rest of Wham! As well as the entire film crew stayed at the Hotel Walliserhof – today’s Walliserhof Grand-Hotel & Spa.
The two walks, both starting at 3.30pm at the Saas-Fee tourist office will take place on Tuesday 28th and Thursday 30th December and take in locations used for the filming. The first tour visiting the Felskinnbahn – Walliserhof Grand-Hotel & Spa, the second Chalet Schliechte and the Walliserhof Grand-Hotel & Spa.
Participants on the walks are encouraged to dress in 80s costume. Mulled wine will be served and 80s music played.
“Because – “Last Christmas” is best enjoyed together,” a resort spokesperson said.
