Cortina D’Ampezzo will stage what’s believed to be the first chocolate themed ski race next month – introducing Eurochocolate Ski.
Staged from the 16th to 19th December 2010, the race is due to the International Chocolate Festival, Eurochocolate, being staged at altitude and in the famous Italian ski village for the first time.
“Eurochocolate Ski offers high-quality, pleasurable chocolate experiences directly on the slopes, or warm up with an invigorating cup of thick hot chocolate in one of the many traditional mountain refuges scattered around Cortina.” said a resort spokesperson.
Those who prefer the atmosphere of the town centre can indulge on Corso Italia, where an original and delicious Chocolate Slalom event will take place. And since virtually every winter sport is practiced in Cortina, there will of course also be the opportunity to experience Chocolate Curling.
The Audi Palace will host a Chocolate Market with an exceptional range of chocolate delicacies from all over the world.
There will also be exhibitions dedicated to chocolate, an “educational chocolate experience for children”, chocolate-tasting classes for adults, chocolate spa and beauty treatments, and much, much more.
With the numerous initiatives and tempting events dedicated to chocolate, Cortina’s guests are guaranteed a more indulgent winter experience than ever before.
