The Chill Factore indoor snow centre is hosting an exclusive ‘freestyle with the stars day’ next Thursday 3rd November to celebrate the start of the peak snow sports season.
Two-time Olympian, Ben Kilner, will hit the 180 metre real-snow indoor slope to showcase his snowboarding skills, alongside Chill Factore sponsored athletes who are preparing for the peak season ahead.
Visitors to the Manchester-based leisure destination will witness world-class tricks and flicks as they admire Britain’s first ever World Cup men’s halfpipe bronze medallist master the freestyle park at Chill Factore. Ben, who has been snowboarding since the age of 9 and competing world-wide on the half-pipe, slopestyle and big air disciplines, is currently on track for the Winter Olympics in 2018.
Snowboarders and skiers of all ages and abilities will be able to ride alongside Ben and get top-tips on all things snowboarding, plus be in with a chance of winning a place on a private group session led by Ben and instructors from Chill Factore.
“Chill Factore’s freestyle with the stars event is set to get everyone excited for the peak season ahead and I look forward to welcoming boarders and skiers of all abilities to join me on the freestyle slope,” Ben explains.
“I have been passionate about snow sports my whole life and am determined to encourage and offer support to other youngsters with the same dream I had. The facilities at Chill Factore are great for people of all ages to develop their skills and enjoy snowboarding and skiing.”
Eight snowboarders will have an opportunity to join Ben for a private group session. Head to Chill Factore’s Facebook page – and answer a question about Ben’s snowboarding career to be in with a chance of winning.
Ben will be on the slopes at various intervals between 2pm – 9pm on Thursday 3rd November.
