Chalets1066 have expanded their already impressive portfolio in the popular French resort of Les Gets, with 4 absolutely gorgeous luxury apartments.
Just an hour’s drive from Geneva airport, Les Gets is one of the top European destinations for families and groups. A gorgeous alpine village which dates back to the 11th Century, it has a certain unique mountain charm that keeps people returning year on year.
This may be due to the fact that this beautiful village lies in the midst of an incredible ski area, Les Portes du Soleil. With 650km of marked piste and 196 lifts, it’s one of the world’s largest ski areas. From beautiful tree lined slopes to fantastic off-piste and some awesome snow parks, there’s something for all skiers here. For beginners, Les Gets offers some lovely gentle beginner slopes and a variety of great ski schools to choose from. For more advanced skiers, the area has some of the world’s best skiing (both on and off piste), and from Avoriaz to Morzine, there’s more than enough of it to keep you entertained all week.
However, while ski area and resort are important, to really enjoy your ski holiday, your accommodation also needs to be spot on. This is why we love Chalets1066, a Les Gets based company, who offer tailor-made holidays to suit all your needs. A small, family business, that have been exclusively operating here over ten years and now have 30 properties in the area. From the slopes to the village to the local businesses, they really do know their stuff when it comes to Les Gets and this year, they are adding four more luxury apartments to their already extensive portfolio.
The Chalet d’Alpe building
The four new apartments are all within one building, the Chalet d’Alpe. The amazing location of this Chalet really is worth noting; very close to the slopes and less than 50 metres to the Les Perriers lifts. In addition, a new express bus service will be running from right outside the chalet to the centre of Les Gets throughout February, which will make getting to the main town easy as pie.
The Chalet d’Alpe has a sauna and hot tub which are available to guests of all four new apartments. The hot tub in particular is an absolute treat, located next to floor to ceiling windows allowing you to bask in the spectacular mountain views – what could be better?!
If you’re travelling in a larger group, you could even hire out more than one of the four apartments in the building, meaning you will all be together in the best accommodation and location.
As is usual for Chalets1066, the unique element of these new apartments is the tailor-made service. You can choose from a wide range of options in order to create the holiday that you need. From airport transfers, chef service and ski equipment delivery to fresh bread, croissant and grocery deliveries, Chalets1066 really do offer you your ideal holiday. If you’re looking for a balance between a fully catered chalet and a self-catered apartment, you can’t really go wrong here.
What’s more, these new apartments are currently available throughout mid-March and April! This is a very rare find at this time of the season; March weeks experience exceptionally high demand and are known to sell out extremely quickly.
The New Apartments
Mont Chery is a brand new apartment spanning across two floors. It sleeps 4, with zip link beds that can either act as single or double beds. It’s the perfect apartment for a four-person family, or two couples travelling together. Traditional décor throughout keeps a real mountain feel to the apartment.
The Marcelly apartment has 2 floors, 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 5 people. The open plan living area in particular is a real treat, located on the top floor of the Chalet d’Alpe building with floor to ceiling windows offering an amazing view of the surrounding mountains. It’s the perfect place for relaxing with a well earned drink at the end of a good day’s skiing.
With three bedrooms, the Aguille du Midi also boasts beautiful alpine themes throughout, giving it a real cosy chalet feel. However, alongside this traditional theme, the apartments are all impressively modern,. The Aguille du Midi for example, has state-of-the-art kitchen facilities, a large TV and an electric fireplace which is sure to prove popular with those coming in from the cold! This apartment can sleep up to 6, with two main bedrooms and a loft bedroom above the living area, perfect for younger guests.
If you’re travelling with a larger group, the Apartment Mont Blanc has 5 bedrooms spans 120sq metres. Across 2 floors, the Mont Blanc can sleep up to 11, with a large living area and private terrace. The gorgeous traditional alpine décor continues throughout this chalet, which has two double bedrooms on the ground floor and three on the top floor. The fifth bedroom has a double sofa bed, so is also ideal for use as an additional TV/living room.
One thing that often puts guests off self catered apartments are the hidden extra costs, such as cleaning and tax de sejour, that can really add up. With these new apartments from Chalets1066, you don’t have to worry about any of this. The price you pay when staying here includes beds made on arrival, mid-week cleans, a full end clean as well as the tax de sejour. This applies to all four apartments in Chalet d’Alpe and the Chalet Makalu, another brand new 4 bedroom Chalet from Chalets1066.
So, if you’re after a change from your fully catered chalet or self-catered apartment this year, Chalets1066 may be just the solution.
