Last year, global superstar Robbie Williams performed two concerts in the Schladming-Dachstein region of Austria. This year the winter season will be opened with three concerts over successive nights by Bryan Adams, Sting & Simply Red from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 December. 45,000 guests are expected for their huge Ski Opening festival.
Bryan Adams, Sting and Simply Red are the world stars who, after Robbie Williams last year, will create a great atmosphere in Schladming. All three of them have never been on stage together before, not even on consecutive days, as they will be in December. Bryan Adams will open the series of concerts on Friday, 6 December. He will perform his hits as well as songs from his new album, which he wrote during the pandemic. Sting will then perform some of his hits with his new band on the Saturday of the 7 of December. Simply Red’s Mick Hucknall is celebrating his 40th stage anniversary and will be going on tour. Fans can get a foretaste on 8 December in Schladming.
The Schladming-Dachstein holiday region includes skiing on the four sectors of Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. When fully open there are 230 kilometres of slopes on nine ski mountains. 77 ultra-modern cable cars and ski lifts as well as over 100 ski huts complete the range of facilities. At the heart of it all is the Schladming 4-mountain ski area, the largest connected ski area in the region, offering 123 kilometres of connected ski terrain.
