Fancy boarding with an Olympian? This winter, Olympic Bronze Medallist Jenny Jones is inviting intermediate and advanced snowboarders to develop their skills with her on a selection of snowboarding workshops in the French Alps.
Not only will you be coached by Jenny Jones herself, but her whole team (including sports psychologist, coach, yoga instructor and personal trainer) will be on hand to make sure that you get as much as possible out of your experience and help you become a better rider.
“Maybe you need to get past a mental block, overcome a particular fear or just want to hone some rad snowboard skills for your next trip. Whatever your snowboarding goals, we’ll help you reach them” says Jones.
Clients will take part in workshops to improve their technique, develop their confidence and take their riding to the next level. Three different types of workshops are available, with their focus ranging from snowboard fitness, mindset and backcountry boarding.
Pre-season Snowboard & Fitness Workshop
Tignes, 5th – 9th December 2017
This workshop is a great early season opportunity to work on your technical snowboard skills, develop your snowboard fitness and enjoy four fun days of shredding before Christmas! Snowboard techniques learnt on the mountain during the day will be followed up with an off-snow, targeted gym session with Jenny’s fellow Olympian and personal trainer Ben Kilner. This will maximize progression, really enabling you to get the most out of your four days.
At the end of the workshop, Ben will put together a bespoke snowboard-specific training plan to prepare you for your next trip to the mountains. You will leave this workshop a stronger and more confident rider, with increased control and enthusiasm on the board. Perfect if you’re feeling a little bit rusty or you want an extra boost before the season really kicks off.
Snowboard & Mindset Workshop
Sainte Foy, 3rd – 10th March 2018
This winter week is aimed at developing your snowboarding while also progressing your mindset. This workshop will focus on the aspects Jenny believes are central to progressing your snowboarding; the riding itself, the psychology behind a successful performance, and the importance of looking after your body through restorative yoga.
Snowboard, Backcountry & Yoga Workshop
Sainte Foy, 17th – 24th March 2018
This workshop is for those looking to discover the wonders of the backcountry. It will focus on taking the skills you have learnt on-piste and learning how to adapt and develop them on different types of off-piste terrain. There will also be a variety of hiking and split boarding, time dedicated to avalanche safety training and some much needed restorative yoga sessions.
