Gripping Big-Screen Adventure!2025 UK & Ireland Tour

Get ready for an unforgettable big-screen adventure! The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is returning to venues across the UK and Ireland in 2025, bringing the latest action and adventure films to a location near you.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival showcases two brand-new collections of short films, filled with extreme expeditions, intrepid adventurers, and breathtaking cinematography.

“Buckle up for a night of nail-biting adventure – from the comfort of a cinema seat!” says tour director Nell Teasdale.

“Join the world’s top outdoor filmmakers and adventurers as they climb, ski, paddle, run, and ride through the wildest corners of the planet. Plus, we guarantee you’ll leave inspired to have an adventure of your own too!”

Each event also features a free prize draw, giving attendees the chance to win outdoor-themed goodies from the tour’s partners.

Now in its 16th year, the UK and Ireland tour will visit 50 locations in spring and autumn 2025.

The tour kicks off in Nottingham on 29 January 2025 and travels across the UK, running through to November 2025.

Film Highlights

A Team Sport

Follow ultra-runner Courtney Dauwalter, one of the greatest athletes in the history of the sport, as she takes on her biggest challenge yet—three iconic 100-mile races in one summer, including the legendary Tour du Mont Blanc in the Alps. A Team Sport explores how Courtney views herself as part of a lineage of women expanding the limits of trail running.

Of A Lifetime

Set against the awe-inspiring landscape of Antarctica, this film follows three extreme skiers and snowboarders as they sail across the unforgiving Drake Passage to descend impossibly steep, icy lines. Of A Lifetime also captures the passing of the adventure baton to the next generation.

Soul Flyers – The Longest Line

Experience the world’s longest terrain-flying wingsuit line. Fred Fugen, Vincent Cotte, and Aurélien Chatard soar an incredible 7.5km in formation over Mont Blanc, showcasing glaciers, cliffs, and mountaineers in this thrilling, record-breaking flight. Soul Flyers – The Longest Line drops you right into the action.
