To thank the snow gods for yet another epic winter, the Aspen Skiing Company in Colorado hosts its annual Bacon Appreciation Day at Buttermilk Mountain on its season closing day, today, Sunday April 3rd.
Bacon Appreciation Day features a schedule of all things bacon including bacon waffles at the summit in the morning, bacon samplers around the mountain throughout the day, a bacon and beer happy hour at Bumps restaurant as well as a ‘bartenders bacon brawl’ featuring Aspen Skiing Company bartenders duking it out for the honours of the best bacon inspired cocktail. Bacon Margarita anyone?
