Snoworks, a British ski course company whose instructors include Phil Smith (well-known ski instructor and presenter of Channel Four’s Ski Tips), Emma Carrick Anderson (four times Olympic ski racer), Mike Barker (former Head Coach for the England Ski Squad) and BASI Trainers Nick Quinn and Lee Townend, has launched a brand new course that takes all the best elements from the autumn program on the glacier at Tignes to produce a high activity week designed to get ski enthusiasts ready for the winter.
Combining elements from the company’s All-Terrain, Bumps and Race Carve courses, the new Autumn Ski Course, aimed at skiers who copuld be described as ‘adventurous intermediates’ or better, runs weekly from October 15th to November 26th.
“We’ve been looking at the structure of our autumn ski courses for some time, All-Terrain, Piste Performance, Race Carve, Carve, Bumps. Then we thought, what is the object of skiing in the autumn? Simply improve loads and loads, have a great time and reap the rewards when the winter comes,” said Phil Smith, “Flexibility, adaptability and versatility make great skiers, so we decided to take the best of three of our courses and combine them all into one all-encompassing course giving everyone the best of everything.”
All Autumn Ski Courses are five full days with a Snoworks instructor – Monday to Friday and cost £300. In addition travel packages are available through Snoworks with half-board chalet-hotel accommodation located in L’Ecrin, in Tignes Val Claret at £390 per person based on twin/double occupancy.
